What Defines a Culture?

This is a question which many, many people have asked and in turn many, many people have answered.

What defines a culture?

There are many different aspects which distinguishes cultures between them. Some of these factors  are major such as the people, leaders, food, clothes etc. and some of them are minor such as the perfume, walking stick, homes, villages and towns etc.

This is the basic answer to this question however this is not the end of the answer either.

People have gone in to so much detail with regards to this questions that books and books have been written on this.

Why some people don’t like cultures

Why is it that there are some people in the world that absolutely hate cultures and what it involves and do not want to hear anything about cultures or will not talk to people who follow a culture or who hate cultures very much and will not even sit/look at a person who follows a culture?

Well the main reason is that they have had a very bad experience in the past which involved a person who “follow’s” a culture. Now according to them, it was the culture that forced a person to do something evil however generally it is their person and not the culture.

Are cultures interesting?

A basic question for all the readers today. Are cultures interesting?

You might think it’s a silly question but think about this for one moment. The answer depends on many, many factors such as:

  • The type of person you are
  • If you yourself are strongly part of one culture
  • If you were part of one culture
  • Your specialty in Education
  • Where you were brought up
  • The country you live in
  • The people you interact with on a daily basis

These are the basics and you can go much more into detail for this.

Can a person change cultures

Sometimes, a person wants to change their culture to something different. The big question – Is is possible for you to change cultures.

Now please note, I’m talking about culture and not anything else. Culture is something that has existed for a very long time, not something that is modern.

Now coming back to the big question. A person can change cultures however, in most cases, never will it be a 100% change. In most cases; the closest a person can get is if they leave their lifestyle and moves to a location where the culture is strong. Interacts closely with those who have been there all their lives, gets married to someone who has been in that culture all their life and live there for years on end. This will get them close but not complete.

Why? Their childhood instincts and the parents blood is in them.

There is another way to become complete…

Culture is deteriorating as time passes

As you may be aware that as time goes on and technology advances and distances become shorter (with the introduction of faster cars, trains, planes and better routes and roads) cultures become more and more intact and mixed.

Look at China, for example. You will see the younger generation have a mixed culture of traditional China and modern China.

But the question is, is it a good thing or a bad thing?

I’ll leave that to you to answer but I’m sure there will be a mixed reaction. The one who understands will say it’s a very detrimental thing to a person and to society. Otherwise, if a person doesn’t understand this, they will think it’s OK.

A persons Car can often gives away their culture

If you are interested to know what culture a person belongs to, then you may just get your answer by looking at the type of car they drive. If you know the person is well off and earning well, then look at their car.

I won’t point fingers at anyone but if you have some knowledge of different cultures and their traits, then you are very likely to match a culture to a person.

Sounds silly, I know. But a person can be offended if you ask them straight on about their culture!

What do you think? A good idea, or not?

The food of different cultures

What is your favourite food in the world? Fish and chips? Noodles? Rice? Pizza? Curry?

Well, you may be interested to know that most people in the world prefer Indian food!

It has been the culture in India that has made its food (especially the hot curry dishes! My favourite!). And so, where you find different culture, you find different food!

Now does attractive, tasty food imply the culture is also attractive and tasty? I’ll leave that for you to think about.

Anyway, back to the food! What’s your favourite food ad do you recommend us any specials?

People are different?

You may wonder sometimes why people are so different in the way they act and why people in one country are very different to people in another country.

Many people think about this and think again and again. Some spend their whole lives behind this.

At this point you must be thinking that the answer is obvious – people are different due to the way they were brought up. OK, this may have some right in it however is this really the case?

Anyway, there are some people who are under the impression that people are inwardly exactly the same but outwardly not. If this was the case then all the people would be same both internally and externally… (I’m not talking about the physial body…)

How Many Cultures in the World?

How many cultures are there in the world? Some people are of the opinion there are only a handful, others think about 50, and otehrs al think there are hundreds and thousands.

Well let me tell you, there are millions of different cultures around the whole world.

Every country have their own, every city have their own, every town have there own, every centre, road, street house and even people have their own. This, of course does not apply everywhere however this is the case in many places.
